Mission
The Church of the Annunciation is a faithful community united by the redeeming love of Christ and committed through grace to sharing unconditional love with all of God's children.
Values
As part of our mission, the Church of the Annunciation is focused on three primary values:
Worship – Worship is an expression of our communal life, giving glory to God through prayer, music, regular attendance, lay participation and preaching.
Grow – Through Christian Formation for adults, youth and children, our faith is shaped into a fuller expression of Christ’s own ministry. Likewise, the gospels compel us to invite others into the shared experience of a faith-based community that proclaims the mercy, forgiveness, hope and love known in Christ.
Serve in love – Servanthood is the humble expression of Jesus’ followers who seek to address the needs of others through pastoral care, prayer and shared fellowship. As Christian servants, we are also called upon to extend our ministry through community outreach.
What our name means
The term "annunciation" recalls the angel Gabriel's announcement that Mary was to give birth to Jesus (Luke 1: 26-35). Thus, proclaiming the good news of God in Christ in this often chaotic world is fundamental to the life of the Church of the Annunciation.
